Lake Charles –
On January 15, Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies were dispatched to a call in reference to a carnal knowledge of a juvenile. Upon arrival, deputies were advised that Colby McDaniel, 24, 1076 Jon Road, Lake Charles, had sexual intercourse with a 14 year old girl, who was a family acquaintance, on two separate occasions. When questioned by detectives McDaniel denied having sexual intercourse with the victim.
Detectives investigated the case and charged McDaniel with 2 counts of felony carnal knowledge of a juvenile and the case was forwarded to the District Attorney’s Office. The District Attorney’s Office accepted the charges and on August 31, Judge Robert Wyatt signed a warrant for McDaniel’s arrest for $100,000.
On September 10, McDaniel was arrested and booked into the Calcasieu Correctional Center and charged with 2 counts of felony carnal knowledge of a juvenile.
