CPSO ARRESTS MAN FOR 7 COUNTS OF FAILURE TO REGISTER AS A SEX OFFENDER

Lake Charles –

 

On March 25 convicted sex offender Edward Aaron, Jr., 58, 1900 4th Street, Lake Charles, was arrested after an investigation revealed he failed to complete his sex offender registration numerous times. 

 

During the investigation it was discovered Aaron, who is required to complete his sex offender registration with the CPSO Sex Offender Unit every 3 months, did not complete his registration for the months of June, September, and December in 2017 along with the months of March, June, September, and December in 2018.  Aaron was arrested and booked into the Calcasieu Correctional Center and charged with 7 counts of failure to register as a sex offender.  Judge Sharon Wilson set his bond at $16,500. 

            

Aaron was convicted of simple rape in 1996 in Calcasieu Parish.
