CPSO ARRESTS MAN FOR INDECENT BEHAVIOR

Lake Charles, LA –

 

On July 1 Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office Special Victims Unit detectives were dispatched in reference to a possible indecent behavior.  During the initial investigation, the complainant advised detectives Jean P. Deshotel, 43, Lake Charles, attempted to entice a girl, under the age of 16, for indecent photographs and to perform sexual acts in exchange for money. 

           

After further investigation, on July 7 detectives located Deshotel at his residence.  When detectives spoke with him he confirmed the allegations.  He was arrested and booked into the Calcasieu Correctional Center and charged with indecent behavior with a juvenile.  Judge Tony Fazzio set his bond at $250,000. 

           

CPSO Detective Jeff Atkinson is the lead investigator on this case.  

 

An arrest is an indication that probable cause exists to believe the subject was involved in the offense alleged.   A person is innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.
