CPSO ARRESTS TWO STUDENTS FOR THREATS

 

 

Lake Charles –

 

           On August 28, the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office received a call in reference to a threat of a shooting at LaGrange High School.

            During the initial investigation, CPSO detectives learned that a 15 year old utilized social media to send the threatening message. 

            The juvenile, with a guardian present, was interviewed by detectives.  The juvenile was arrested and booked into the Juvenile Detention Center and charged with menacing.

           CPSO Detective Clay Planchard is the lead investigator on this case.  The Calcasieu Parish School Board assisted CPSO with the investigation.  

 

An arrest is an indication that probable cause exists to believe the subject was involved in the offense alleged.   A person is innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.

            During the investigation, CPSO detectives learned that a 16 year old sent the message through social media to another student. 

            The juvenile, with a guardian present, was interviewed by detectives.  The juvenile was arrested and booked into the Juvenile Detention Center and charged with menacing.

           CPSO Detective Cody Ferguson is the lead investigator on this case.  The Calcasieu Parish School Board assisted CPSO with the investigation.
