CPSO ARREST MAN FOR SEXUAL BATTERY & INDECENT BEHAVIOR

Lake Charles, LA –

 

On November 13, Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office detectives received a complaint against Daniel S. Floyd, 38, Sulphur, having inappropriate sexual contact with a family member.  During the investigation, detectives learned he had been sexually abusing the girl on numerous occasions, since 2018, when she was under the age of 12.  It was also learned Floyd made the victim participate in inappropriate and sexually explicit conversations with other men on a website.   

           

On December 1, after further investigation, Floyd was arrested and booked into the Calcasieu Correctional Center and charged with 4 counts of indecent behavior with juveniles; and 2 counts of sexual battery.  Judge Tony Fazzio set his bond at $4 million. 

           

CPSO Special Victims Unit Detective Eric Perry is the lead investigator on this case.
