CPSO INVESTIGATES PEDESTRIAN FATALITY

Lake Charles –

 

Last night at approximately 6:40 p.m. Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a call near the area of Claude Hebert Road in Lake Charles, just north of Mark Lebleu Road. 

           

The initial investigation revealed the driver of a small SUV was traveling on Claude Hebert Road when she struck a pedestrian.  The pedestrian, an 11 year old boy, was pronounced dead at the scene.

 

The fatality is still under investigation; it is unknown at this time if the pedestrian was walking in the lane of travel.  In accordance with Louisiana state law, standard toxicology testing was performed on the driver, although impairment is not suspected.
